The first week of the Stop The Toad Foundation’s GREAT TOAD MUSTER has been a resounding success. Staff and volunteers have established a base camp at Timber Creek and a field camp at Auvergne lagoon and much of the Foundation’s primary buffer zone has been mapped from the air for remaining water.

Running until Oct 31 the Muster aims to take advantage of the end of the dry season when cane toads are congregating around remaining water in an increasingly dry landscape, and therefore vulnerable to capture.

The toad capture total is 3451 toads to Friday 29 Sept.
